Mid-July Happenings....

Well, we sure have been enjoying summer here in beautiful Snoqualmie, Wa. The weather has been sunny and hot. In fact, we had a heat wave in July with temps hovering at 100 degrees for 3 days. I think the record high was 104 one day. We had no air conditioning (although we do now....) and spent the day either swimming in the river or laying next to a fan eating popsicles....
Millie left a crayon on the front porch and it turned into a soggy, melted mess, which is exactly how we felt that entire week!

Michael had his 21st birthday and Lola and Grandpa drove over from Spokane to celebrate his big day. The weather was still hot, so we cooked outside and then ate a yummy cake. Plenty of drinks went around and the party got silly....

A touching father and son moment...

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY!

Earlier in the week Millie, Mike and I took a water taxi from Alki Beach to the waterfront pier in Seattle.

My handsome man posing in front of the "city" as Millie likes to call it.

Millie laughing as the spray and surf splashes her face...

The view from the boat on the way back home. This is a real deal at only $3 round trip, and Millie loved the boat ride (so did I!) Can we go again?
